Freedom Memorial
1973 / Bill Haupt / Painesville
A 25 foot freedom monument with 15 foot stainless steel projections pointing skyward in a giant "V" with a lateral cor-ten steel crossing through both stainless projections situated on a five foot base faced with black granite. Two walkways (cement) up to the memorial with 2 steps and 20 foot landing with two alluminum handrails, one at each end of landing and the Bicentennial logo. Between the two walkways leading up to the memorial consisting of stainless steel rising 6" above grade filled with red, white and blue stones.
