Pig seasons winter photo1.jpeg

This fiberglass work depicts a pig, painted metallic gold, in a bird cage decorated with half moons. The sculpture is one of a series of four, each depicting a different season. The edge of the base of the cage is inscribed with a verse by the artist and his signature.

The sculpture was created as part of "The Big Pig Gig" project in the summer of 2000. Local artists and schools created over 400 pig sculptures that were displayed throughout downtown Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. At the conclusion of the exhibition, some of the works were sold on eBay and many remain on public display throughout the greater Cincinnati area.
