This work is a life size bronze statue of Isaac and Sarah Harvey. The couple were Quakers who lived on a farm in Clinton County, near Wilmington. After experiencing a divine calling, the pair traveled to Washington, D.C. to meet with President Abraham Lincoln to ask him to emancipate the slaves. This statue portrays the couple embarking on this journey.
