Marion YMCA Wall Relief 1

Two wall reliefs carved into the front of the building that was originally the YMCA in Marion County.

One relief shows a muscular man in short sleeves and work boots holding a book in his left hand and reaching up toward a sun-like cross with his right.

The other relief depicts two men, one holding an American flag in his right hand while holding a flaming torch aloft with his left hand and the other sitting cross-legged with his back to the viewer while looking up at the man with the torch.

The building was build in 1953, sat empty for a while when the YMCA got a new building in town, and was eventually taken over by Be Ministries.
