Gold Butte
2003 / Deborah Butterfield / Athens
Gold Butte is an almost life-sized sculpture of a horse. Its body was formed by sticks and branches and then cast in bronze. This is the signature style of the artist.
It can be found on a hill in The Ridges, in between the auditorium and the Konneker Research Center, which is also the closest place to park.
This work was funded by the Ohio Percent for Art Program.
