Echo of the Heart
2017 / Matthew Allen Albright / Chardon
A brushed and textured heart-shaped steel sculpture created to memorialize the Charon High School shooting of 2012. A chime hangs from the nadir of the heart, which visitors are welcome to ring. A small plaque bears the inscription, ["Echo of the Heart" By Matthew Allen Albright]. The sculpture can be accessed via the parking lot of Chardon Park, or by a connecting foot path from the adjacent Chardon High School student parking lot.
