Marion County World War II Veterans Memorial

One of the largest World War II Memorials in the Country, this memorial is composed of 8-foot granite wall inscribed with the names of the almost 6000 service members from Marion County who died in World War II as well as a 13-foot polished black granite shaft as its centerpiece with the names and emblems of the five branches of the United States armed services and American flag images.
The memorial also has a long flag and bench line walkway leading up to the honor roll walls and a granite block at the entrance declaring it the Marion County World War II Veterans Memorial.
