Safe Animals Safe Kids Mural

This mural officially became part of the Canton Ohio Art’s District in 2011. It was first featured as a hanging on the side of the Imperial Room, a restaurant/lounge in the Canton, Ohio Art’s District. It now finds its place on the side of the Arts in Stark building in Canton. The mural was the first in a series of public art projects designed to raise awareness of the connections between animal abuse and domestic violence under the name Okey’s Promise.

Okey’s Promise: Art for a Cause, named for a small rescued cat, is a public art initiative designed to create awareness about the humane treatment of animals and other social causes.
