This sculpture of Carnegie was the door that opened a fantastic and historically important relationship between the artist, J.Massey Rhind, and Mr. Joseph Butler the founder of The Butler Institute of American Art.

Rhind became a friend, trusted adviser of painting, as well as main sculptor for Mr.Butler. The two created a wonderful history of art throughout Youngstown and Niles Ohio.
