Life-sized bronze sculpture of a realistic American Indian wearing a 'wonderfully wrought war bonnet'. The figure proudly kneels on a stone pedestal in front of The Butler Institute of American Art. The institute contains the second largest collection of Native American paintings in the country and was the first built to hold a collection of American works.
