3-inch Towed Guns of Union Cemetery

These two 3-inch guns are on display in the veterans section of Union Cemetery in Steubenville, Ohio. Between the guns a soldier kneels in respect in front of a cross-marked grave holding a gun in one hand and his helmet in the other.

The guns are no longer operational and have been permanently installed at the entrance to the Veteran's section of the cemetery. The 3-inch gun was a World War II anti-tank gun. The gun had a maximum firing rate of 12 rounds a minute. The maximum range was 14.7 km (just over 9 miles.)
