A draped female figure with flower patterns carved into her garments. She is looking serenely outward and holding a bouquet of flowers in her proper left hand. The statue is mounted atop a stone pedestal.
This item came from the McKelvy family estate in 2000, however it was acquired from Europe in the 1940s. She was a focal point of the family's gardens, overlooking the Maumee River. They called her "Lady in Waiting". Her name was changed to "Athena" by the Toledo Botanical Garden, and then later changed to "Flora".
Location: Toledo Botanical Garden, 5403 Elmer Dr. | Previous Location: McKelvy residence on River Road in Perrysburg, Ohio (Wood County). A 1929 French chateau style home facing the Maumee River.
