Hopalong Cassidy

This seven-foot-tall bronze statue honors Wiliam Boyd and his character of Hopalong Cassidy. The June commemoration falls near the actor's birthday and wedding anniversary of this life-long Guernsey County supporter. "Hoppy" maintained special values of clean living and never shooting to kill in his movies and shows. The dedication ended with "Be Glad and proud to be an American".
