Decatur Civil War Monument
1908 / Manchester Granite and Marble Company / Decatur
A life-size statue of a Civil War solider, posing with a rifle. The base is inscribed, "70th Ohio Volunteer Infantry Grand Army of the Republic 1861-1865." The base includes an etching of the American flag and a pair of crossed rifles, as well as the names of those who served in the Civil and Spanish American Wars. A stone marker with plaque was added in 1922 and lists those who served in World War I.
