C. 2009 / Jim Davidson / Mt. Vernon

PXL_20210417_155707437.jpg

The sculpture sits on a brick landing in front of the Chapel Hill Golf Course. The bricks that make the landing contain names of local fallen heroes.

In researching the history of this sculpture information came to light that the sculptor "Jim Davidson" may not exist. Confirmed by several sculptors, this piece does not include edition numbers or year made, making it very likely this piece is a copy of another artist's work. The artist's name has been attributed to a Thai company that has been known to sell cheaply made sculptures based on designs from other sculptors.
