She is twisting her right arm across her body to hold a basket of flowers over her left hip. Her left arm also extends out to hold up the basket. Her hair is in a loose bun.
The circular base of the sculpture has the name Brown engraved on it, and it presides over the section of the Marion Cemetery where members of the Brown family are buried, toward the northwest corner, just south of the Soldiers and Sailors chapel.
